Laukku Tak Cukup Masin
DC Chapter 1 - The Insatiable 3C's
- Dale Carnegie - How to Win Friends and Influence People
- Florence Littaeur - Personality Plus
- Allan Pease - People Skills for Life
- "Something Holiday" - Coaching vs. Mentoring (I seem to not be able to find a book by that author, so I replace it with a book in the Harvard Business Essentials series - Coaching and Mentoring.
- It is foolish to scold people, since God has not seen fit to distribute evenly the gift of intelligence.
- Criticism is futile because it puts a person on the defensive and usually makes him strive to justify himself. Criticism is dangerous since it wounds a person's precious pride, hurts his sense of importance and arouses resentment.
- Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain - and most fools do. But it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving.
- Instead of condemning people, let's try to understand them, why they do what they do.

I Am A Johorean!
Siti Rahayu forwarded to me this email. It's high time that we recall the history of Johor. As a reminder to me, the late Sultan Iskandar had passed away 1 week after my sister-in-law Hamidah Abdul Rahman's demise. What a co-incident, since Kak Midah has named his eldest son - Mahmud Iskandar, since he was born during the time when Almarhum was undergoing the honorary process to be proclaimed as the Agong, way back in 1994. ___________________________________________________________________________________

The Theory Game
Heartless act of a son and daughter-in-law
A 57-year-old man, who had just undergone heart surgery, thought he could recuperate at home but was in for a shock when his son told him not to return home.
Harian Metro reported that Abdul Rahman Talib was abandoned by the roadside in Kangar with just a bag of clothes by his 30-year-old son after his daughter-in-law refused to let him back into the house.
"I asked my son to drive me to town although I did not know where I could go. Instead, he left me in front of a school".
"I cried as I stepped out from his car. I did not expect him to treat me like this after I've brought him up lovingly all these years," he said, adding that he felt lost wandering around before finally settling down for the night at a bus stop.
Abdul Rahman said the following day, his son had come to look for him but the old man's joy was short-lived when he realised that the son was only dropping off his bicycle.
He said he met an acquaintance near the school two days later and was invited to spend the night at his house.
It is understood that the Social Welfare Department had since sent Abdul Rahman to the Batu Bertangkap Welfare Home in Beseri.

This sad story brings about several theories:
- Maybe the father was not so good to his father or parents when he was young.
- Maybe the father was not good enough to his wife when she was still alive (if not she would have taken care of him, instead of the son, wouldn't she?).
- Maybe the son follows the footstep of his father by having a wife who overules his decision.
- Maybe the father thought he has given sufficient loving upbringing life to his son, but the son may think otherwise.
- Maybe the father has not been good to the daughter-in-law before the operations.
- Maybe this is pure karma - what goes around comes around.
Moral of the story:
Girl power. When not in control, detrimental consequences to the society.
"Sesungguhnya wanita itu dijadikan dari tulang rusuk lelaki supaya menjadi teman dan pendamping, sentiasa memerlukan belaian, tunjuk ajar dan panduan, kerana lelaki itu adalah pemimpin untuk wanita".
